IIRC, the only thing you "attune" in RQ is a magic
crystal. In RQ2, I recall that enchanted rune metals
are tempered by the enchantment, and become untempered
when the person who enchanted them (or supplied the
POW for the enchantment) died. I don't know if this
was changed in RQ3, but I think it was, because it's
too cool to be able to find enchanted metal armor.
