I'm with Styopa on this. I use my previously stated method solely because it
has provided what I consider to be the right balance between reality and
emulation of reality.

I used to play Tractics way back in the early '80s and I got more than my
fill of simulating reality. In fact, I'm seriously looking at some of the
rules in Mongoose's recently published rules to help streamline the chargen
calculations in RQIII.

So I'm on the fast track to becoming a heretic, I guess.  ;-)
