Your words on a sheet-less game really got me interested in trying out something like that. So, the players did all their normal rolls, and the GM just told if it was a success or not? 
   
  I'm really intrigued how that would work with my group. 
   
  How did the GM manage the book-keeping by the way? Had he simplified the system in any way (broader skills, etc.?)
   
  Would it be okay if I posted the part of your post about char-gen on the basic roleplaying forum to get some more views on this? (or if you would like to post it yourself?)
